The Zoning Board of Appeals has three basic responsibilities:

• to serve as the commission with the ability to grant Shelton property owners relief, in the form of variance, from the zoning regulations adopted by by the P&Z Commission.
• to serve as an appeal decisions and actions the P&Z Commission.
• to serve as the local agency representing the State DMV in matters deciding the suitability of location of motor vehicle related facilities.

Meetings

The Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise indicated. Meetings are held in the Auditorium at Shelton City Hall, at 7:30pm, and are open to the public.
