0rganized In 1983, the Shelton Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), is a non - profit corporation that focuses on the balanced development of Shelton. The SEDC acts as a catalyst for growth within the City by providing direct links to all local government and business leaders, as well as coordinating between city and civic organizations. The SEDC has relationships with finance and development agencies, and provides a leadership role in emerging publie/private and statewide partnerships. The I SEDC provides access
to a professional staff with extensive experience in economic development, real estate, construction, finance and government.

A Dynamic Board of Directors...

The, business of the SEDC is managed by a diverse board of directors. The board, which is elected at the annual meeting, consists of between ten and sixty members who represent a cross section of the Shelton community. The board's members are diverse and include representatives from municipal government, private lending institutions, manufacturing, trade associations, retail businesses and utilities, among others.
